A well lived life. He commanded respect from all who knew him and was straight talking as well as humble. Grandpa taught me many life lessons that have served me well both in my private life and professional life: You don't quit until the job is done correctly. "Good enough" shouldn't ever be your aim, you put forth your best in all things that you do; Talking in a straightforward manner doesn't always make you the most popular person in the room, but it does make you dependable and trustworthy - traits that will always carry you farther than holding your tongue when asked for input; Family is important and you convey that with warmth, generosity and by making those you are with feel that they are important. When Grandpa was with me, I ALWAYS felt that I was the most important person in his life. I was lucky to have him as long as I did, and I will miss him as long as I live.

I don't know where to begin my thoughts. There are only a handful of people that you meet in life, people that actually have an impact on your life. People that are kind, fair and caring, people that are true role models for how we should lead our lives. People who you respect so much. Max was one of those people. My sympathies to the Stucker and Joyner Families.

MAX was a friend from cardiac rehab. We enjoyed exercising every morning for the past 15 years. He was a great source of information on farming and finance, which we enjoyed discussing on the bike. We will miss him, his friendship, and his kindness. May GOD bless his family that he so loved and often spoke about. May they rejoice in the great things he did with them during his live. GOD bless the STUCKER Family

Grandpa
I will miss you so very much. We have so many wonderful memories, stories and lesson of life. It's hard to pick out just one. Among my favorite lessons you taught me are how to eat corn on the cob correctly. Across like a type writer not around and cutting birthday cake at a 45 degree angle for maximum amount of frosting. I will make sure to do that with my last piece of birthday cake.
I love you so much! Rest in piece.

Max was a great friend to me and Hinsdale Hospital. I regret that I can't be there to be with you because we are out of the country..
