Dr Stamelos was the greatest orthopedic surgeon there was! He treat my grandmother, mother sister and myself!! He would never let company Drs get their hands on you to mess u up ....I was in a cast for several months to keep that from happening.....he was wonderful and caring ....and will continue to be greatly missed Rest In Peace Dr S.

Dr. Stamelos was a gifted physician who helped three generations of our family. We have so much love, respect and gratitude for all he did for each one of us. RIP, dear Spiros Stamelos. It was a joy and an honor to know you.

Dr Spiros will be sorely missed by many. We all have many good things to say like me whose arm he saved. He was so devoted to his practice and those he worked with. Rest in peace Dr Spiros till we meet again.

Spiros was a great friend to our family for many years. He was always extremely kind to me and always listens and empathize for my medical needs. He also visited me a few times at my restaurant because he just likes to talk about business. I had lots of respect for him and will always have fond memories. May his memory be eternal

To all of the family i like give you sincere deepest condolences on your lost of the Doctor stamelos i did get to know him very well i spend 20 years going to see him in is office he did perform 15 surgeries on me all of them successful yes i was very hard on my body but he save me without him i would not be here today my heart is sad today i just hear of his passing God has taken a very good man from us but i am sure god needed him in haven to do some great healing there god bless you all.

I just heard about your husband’s and father’s passing and was greatly saddened. I feel a great loss in my heart.
Spiros was one of those rare generous medical professionals who has helped more people than any one of us will ever know. He certainly helped me and my family at critical moments, and for that, I will always be grateful.

Angeliki, please accept and extend to your family our deepest sympathy. We knew Spiros as a childhood friend while students at Agassiz Elementary School in Chicago. Even then, he worked in his father's grocery store and attended St. George Church on Sheffield. We were classmates throughout high school at Lane Tech, but lost touch after graduation. Much later I happened to see his name on a doctor's office shingle on Lincoln Avenue. I stopped in, and we had a great time renewing our friendship. We we saddened by this sudden news of his passing.
