Anthony "Tony" DeLuca Obituary
ANTHONY TONY DELUCA Anthony "Tony" DeLuca was born to Giovanni and Michelina Capobianco DeLuca in Foggia, Italy on September 11, 1950. His family immigrated to the United States in 1958, settling in Providence, RI where he attended elementary, middle, and then Central High School. In 1969 he moved to Southern California where he grew to love the game of tennis and scuba diving. He worked as a bellhop and became Superintendent of Services at the Grand Hotel in Anaheim while he attended Cal State Fullerton, majoring in business. Tony met Julie Sroufe in Anaheim in 1978 and they were married June 7, 1980 in Oroville CA. Tony had a great love for people and serving the residents of the area. He was a successful salesman at Oroville Toyota, Oroville Motors, Dow Lewis Motors, and McConnell Chevrolet before opening Golden State Auto Sales in Oroville. Tony loved his family dearly - they were his pride and his joy. Spending family time on the lake was always the best part of the week. He especially enjoyed attending his children's numerous sports events, church activities, and a variety of achievements. In the following years, his grandchildren became the light of his life. The entire DeLuca family will be forever grateful to Tony's nephew, Joseph DeLuca of Providence, RI who became the donor for a kidney transplant in 2007, blessing Tony with the opportunity to see children married and grandchildren born. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Joseph DeLuca, Tony is survived by his wife, Julie DeLuca of Chico, sons Nick (CaroLynne) DeLuca of Orem UT, Anthony DeLuca of Chico, and daughter Natalie (Stephen) Dicks of Alexandria VA, grandchildren Denver, Juliana, Avery, Madilena, and Samuel, brother Vito DeLuca (Mary) of Seekonk MA, sister Phyllis (Scott) Vento of Weatherly PA, sister-in-law Leslie DeLuca of Providence RI, sister-in-law Janet DeLuca of North Providence RI, and a large extended family. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the LDS Church, 167 Table Mountain Blvd., Oroville, CA
