Anthony James Jessee Obituary
ANTHONY JESSEE Anthony James Jessee passed peacefully in his sleep on 4/1/18. Born in Chico March 17, 1944 of parents Elnora Moore and Gene M. Jessee, who was one of 8 Jessee brothers all born in Chico. Tony and his father invented the Jessee Air Leg and Nut Blower and several other pieces of harvesting, hulling and shelling equipment for almonds. He never had them patented but shared them with others. For Tony a handshake was a man's word. Tony was a general contractor, a master metal fabricator and welder and a master of many trades, who along with his father helped establish Gene M. Jessee Manufacturing and Jessee Heating and Air Conditioning. Tony is survived by three sons and one daughter: David E. Jessee of Washington, Anthony J. Jessee of Chico and E. Jerry Jessee and Caroline Jessee of Coalinga, CA who all grew up in Chico. Jerry and Caroline are both teachers like their mother Linda Stuart from Tony's 2nd marriage. He is survived by siblings, Nancy Harr of Chico and Forest Trimm of San Diego (96 years old and still fully independent), and his loving niece, Kelly Mead of Butte Meadows; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. He is also survived by 2 step-children: Deborah Boyce and Douglas Coult from his 3rd wife Linda A. Freschauf Jessee to whom he was married for 32 years, retired RN-CRRN. He was preceded in death by his 2nd son Gene M. Jessee, also of Chico and his sister Dolores Meagher. Tony was devoted to his family, loved people, and had a special place in his heart for his animals. We will honor him with a Celebration of Life. An open house with a finger-food potluck is to be held from 1pm-5pm on the 6th of May at his home, #1 Mindy Court, Chico, CA. Bring any photos, memories, or stories. We have much to share.
