Obituary Condolences

Bart Curiale, 54 of Chico, passed away November 11, 2009, in Paradise. Bart was born in Los Angeles, CA to Bartolo and Caroline Curiale on November 28, 1954.

Bart was raised in Chico and attended Chico High School. He began his career in the grocery business and worked for Wentz Market, Super Shopper and Cosby's Supermarket before he started his own business, Teodo's Deli, at the Chico Airport. Bart owned and operated Teodo's Deli for 18 years.

Bart loved to fish, play pool and play poker. He took great pride in his 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle, which he had hoped to restore. The center of Bart's world was his daughter, Ashley, whom he adored and loved more then anything. Bart really enjoyed the last two years living in Paradise and the family appreciates and thanks Carlene McKenzie for taking Bart under her wing during those two years. Bart will be remembered by friends and family as a fun-loving man with a contagious laugh. He was a great story teller and a diehard Raiders fan who loved good friends and good food. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Bart was preceded in death by his mother, Caroline; his sister, Debbie and his brother, Michael.

Bart is survived by his father, Bartolo of Prineville, Oregon; his daughter, Ashley; his former wife of 27 years, Julie; nieces, Gina and Michele and many other family members and close friends.

A celebration of life is planned on Bart's birthday, November 28, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at the Eagles Hall at 20th St and Mulberry in Chico.
