BETTY A. KENNEDY Obituary
BETTY A. KENNEDY

Betty was a war time bride, born October 6, 1921 in Pontiac, Michigan; the wife for nearly 67 years of Allen R. (Bob) Kennedy from her home town of Royal Oak, Michigan. They were married in Reno, Nevada on November 7, 1942. Through 3 wars and the raising of 4 children, and moving every few years with the Air Force, they finally ended in Chico in 1975.

Betty died peacefully in her sleep following a lengthy illness on August 6, 2009. Betty worked as a volunteer at Enloe Hospital and was active for years in square dancing clubs and bowling. She enjoyed cooking, card games and dominoes.

Betty is survived by her husband, Bob; and four children, daughter, Barbara of Tallahassee, Florida, and sons, Dick (wife Viv), Bob, and Auggie of Chico; along with three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A private family memorial is being planned.
