BEULAH MAE GRAY Beulah passed away on 5-12-2014, just three days after her beloved husband James Edmond Gray. They were married 67 years. She died in her home surrounded by her two daughters who lovingly cared for her in her last hours. Bea was born in Fort Smith Arkansas, on January 1,1929 to parents, William and Mary Wade. Bea is preceded in death by her husband, James, her sons, Kenneth Gray and James Gray Jr., her brothers, Gordon Wade and JT Wade, and sisters, Geneva Lopez, and Joyce McCullum. She is survived by her sisters, Beth Rye, and Billie Baker, her daughters, Charlotte Lubold and Donna Gray and son, Leon Gray, plus six grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, and two great- great grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews. James was the handsome guy in town, who met and married the pretty redhead in Scranton, Arkansas on September 19, 1946. Together they later moved to California and settled in Tulare Ca. It was here they started to raise their family of five children. Around 1963 the family moved to Santa Clara, Ca. Here Bea went back to school to study interior design and photography. She also spent time delving into many interesting areas of thought. She will be remembered for her adventurous and creative spirit, often surprising her family with new interests and explorations. She is remembered for her great cooking, and was a expert seamstress, sewing beautiful clothes for her daughters. She was a devout Christian and active member in her church. After retiring she and Jim enjoyed traveling across the United States in their motor home. Sadly she was lost to Alzheimer's Disease, but she will be remembered for her lively spirit. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. Services will be held in her honor on 5-31-2014 at the Brusie Funeral Home, 626 Broadway Ave, Chico Ca. at 1 pm. 530-343-5642.
