BRIAN A. HURST

Brian A. Hurst, 47 of Biggs, passed away at his residence on May 20, 2009. Brian was born on December 17, 1961 in Chico, California.

He was also a lifelong resident of Butte County. Brian attended Shasta Elementary and Bidwell Junior High school and graduated from Chico High School in 1981. Growing up Brian was a member of the 4H and FFA. He loved softball and played in Little League through Pony League. As an adult he played softball for a men's league and played in various tournaments. He was also a truck driver and owned his own truck for a few years before moving into a heavy equipment hauler/operator. Brian enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing pool.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Valerie A. Hurst. Brian is survived by his father, Walter P. Hurst of Redding; three sisters, Tamara G. Hurst of Biggs, Lori J. Bettencourt of Oroville, and Jana C. Brewer of Los Molinos. He is also survived by four nephews; two nieces; one great-nephew; and three great-nieces along with many cousins through out the western states. Brian also has many friends who thought of him as part of their family. He is very loved and will be greatly missed.
