Buford (Jack) Galbraith, a long-time resident of Willows, Calif., went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2008. He was born in Seymour, Missouri, January 8, 1923 to John and Velda Galbraith. Buford was second of ten children. Siblings included, Violet Akins, Emmett, Hubert, Eunice Goodwin, Nora Montaus, Clinton, Rex, Lawrence, and Denver.

He was married to his beloved wife, Relda, in 1938, with whom he had six children, Maxine Horvath (Jim), Bill (Glenna), Carl (Joy), John (Barbara), Tom, and Crystie Powell (Philip). He loved his nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Buford moved to California in 1946. He worked at Riz Warehouse and Travelers Accessories in Orland for many years. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Willows, serving as usher and Board member. He liked to travel, especially to Fort Bragg for a long weekend. He enjoyed visiting his children and going on trips with them. He was also a pretty good bowler in his day with quite a few trophies on the shelf. Buford was a man. of integrity, honesty, and a hard worker. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bill; his wife, Relda; his sister, Violet, and brothers, Emmett, Hubert, and Lawrence.

There will be a viewing at F.D. Sweet and Son Mortuary Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 1:00 p.m.- 5:00 pm.

A Service will be held at The First Assembly of God Church at 434 East Wood Street, Willows, Calif. on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. H. Eugene Huffman. Arrangements are under the direction of F.D. Sweet & Son Mortuary, Willows.
