Carolyn Hubbell passed away peacefully at her home on August 27, 2009 in Oroville, CA after a long battle with cancer. She was born February 9, 1936 in Traverse City, Michigan.

She married in 1956 and had two children. She moved to Indiana for a short time and then moved to Twain/Quincy, CA, eventually residing in Oroville for many years.

She loved knitting, sewing, crocheting and all kinds of crafts. She was an accomplished pianist, played other instruments and loved music very much. She enjoyed playing for everyone and often did for family, friends and some local hospitals.

She was a Pink Lady Volunteer at Oroville Hospital, was active at the local health club and enjoyed bowling.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Hubbell of 52 years of Oroville; her daughter, Deborah Whiting of Quincy; her five grandchildren, Alicia Clubb, Brandon Clubb and Whitney Whiting all of Chico, John Whiting of Quincy, and Richie Hubbell of Oroville; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tate Hubbell and brother, Charles Morse.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lott Home-Sank Park, 1067 Montgomery Street in Oroville, CA.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, that any donations be made to your local Hospice Program.
