Claude (Bud) Parrott Obituary
CLAUDE (BUD) PARROTT Claude (Bud) Parrott, born May 4, 1945, passed away at his home in Paradise, CA on September 9, 2016. Bud served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After returning home, Bud worked as a smoke jumper for the U.S. Forestry Service and taught fire science classes at Crafton Hills College Fire Academy. He finished his career with the Forestry Service in late 1995. Bud and Betsy moved to Paradise shortly after his retirement he worked for Ace Hardware and took on a voluntary role at the Paradise Fire Department. He later was hired as a part-time Civilian Fire Prevention Inspector. Bud considered The Paradise Fire Department family and was proud to be part of their organization. Bud was preceded in death by his beloved wife Betsy Boyer-Parrott. He is survived by his stepsons Jay Boyer and Tim Boyer, two daughter-in-laws Margie Kay Boyer and Tina Boyer, along with four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held for Bud on Thursday, September 22nd, 2016, at the Paradise Elks Lodge located at 6309 Clark Rd. Paradise, CA. 95969 at 11 A.M. A reception will follow at the hall. He was a great guy and will be dearly missed. The family ask that donations be made to Paradise Hospice House at 1289 Billie Road, Paradise, CA 95969 in lieu of flowers.
