CLIFFORD GARVIS No services will be held for Clifford G. Garvis who died Friday, February 27, 2015 in his home at 184 Canyon Highland Drive., Oroville, CA. He was born April 2, 1917 in Brookings, S.D. to George and Georgina Garvis and was number ten of twelve children. He worked for the Western Pacific Railroad for 25 years and then worked for the railroad that built the Oroville Dam. He finished his career as a Machinist with Pacific Coast Cannery from which he retired. He was married to his wife Myra for 66 years and after retiring they traveled extensively in there Motor Home spending many winters in Arizona. They enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, Water skiing. Clifford, his wife and children built their home in Canyon Highlands in 1950 and lived it to the present. He will be remembered by his many friends and family for having a great sense of humor and always having a joke to tell. He was always a great provider. Clifford is survived by two sons, Larry of Wisconsin, and Richard of Nevada City, two brothers, Victor of Illinois, and Jim of Oregon, Granddaughter, Shelley and Great -Granddaughter, Kendall. Clifford donated his body to Science and will be cremated.
