David Marbury Memoriam

When David William Marbury moved to Paradise, it seemed clear to his family he was looking for a quiet place to live.

A private man, Marbury, 66, had served in a Navy nuclear submarine and been trained in electronic communications. After leaving the service, he worked for BART in the Bay Area and had retired by the time he moved to Paradise.

Wow! Dave was my first love!! He would drive me to Hogan High School in his green Chevy !! After he graduated he did enlist in the Navy! Guess we lost touch!! Sounds like a great MAN and a great loss!! Rest In Peace my old friend!

Dave was a wonderful co-worker! He and I spent many a day working in the "field" together at BART.

We each had childhood memories of horses to share. Finally, without too much encouragement, Dave bought himself a horse.
I recall Dave telling stories of his "wild rides" and wonderful adventures in Briones on horseback.

He also, had a fondness for the simplicity and value of Swanson's TV dinners. I think it was the Turkey and gravy he liked best. Especially on Thanksgiving....simple was good.

He taught me a lot about phone installs and rock and roll.

He had learned a lot of his technical skills on a Navy Submarine.

I am soooo sorry to hear this sad news..we had lost track of each other after BART. He was a multi-talented, kind, amazingly smart man with a passion for statistics and the stock market.

I will never forget my friend....God Bless you Dave!
