Dolly Nadine Berry, 80, passed away Feb. 11, 2010 in Chico, CA. She was born Sept. 16, 1929 to Joseph and Arlene Taresh in Taylorsville, CA.

She had been a resident of Orland since 1956. Dolly retired from the California Highway Patrol as a Dispatcher after 14 years, then decided to go back to work for Dole Nut Company in 1980 in the Offices, and also retiring from Dole. She was a member of the Capay Friends Church, Orland Grange, and California State Enployee Association. She loved gardening and taking care of her flowers and being around her family. She never forgot birthdays or anniversaries.

She is survived by her children, Joann Hunter and husband, Bob of Orland, Milt Berry and wife, Terry of Chester, Jim Berry and wife, Jan of Visilia, Russell Berry of Washington State, Tom Berry and wife, Shelly of Oregon and Cliff Berry of Chico; brother, Gene Taresh and wife, Bertha of Woodland; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James and brothers, Jay and Arland Taresh.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010 at F.D. Sweet & Son Mortuary, 825 A St. Orland, CA. Funeral Services will be Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Mortuary. Interment will be at the Masonic Cemetery, Orland, CA. Donations can be made to the , c/o the Mortuary.
