DONALD C. FRIDRICH Obituary
DONALD C. FRIDRICH

Donald C. Fridrich passed from this life peacefully in his sleep on June 26, 2012.

Don was born to John and Alice Fridrich on November 18, 1937 in Deadwood, S.D. The family moved to Oroville in 1952 when Don was in the 8th grade. He was a 50 year resident of Oroville, and a 35 year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, FOE 196.

Don was an avid fan of the SF 49ers for many years, and in recent years of the SF Giants.

Don and his brother Darrell were business owners in Oroville for 35 years, first the Norwalk Gas Station, and for 30 years of Fridrich Wholesale Tire Co. After retirement, he enjoyed many years of traveling around the West coast, camping at Caribou with family and friends, trips to Reno and Fort Bragg, and he could beat just about anybody at the game of Cribbage.

Don is a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Fridrich; his sons, Brian (Brenda), Brad (Stephanie), and Chris (Shani). He is also survived by his stepsons, Mike, Casey (Wendy), and Jay Codorniz. He leaves behind 11 grandchildren, Holly, Kylee, Rob, Derek, Ehren, C.J. and Hannah Fridrich, and Kelliegh, Erica, Cody and Carli Codorniz. He also leaves behind his brother, Darrell (Beverly); his first wife and friend, Lani; and his first great-grandchild, Hayden, who made his entrance into the world on July 8th, 2012.

Don was deeply loved by everyone in his family and by his many friends. He was appreciated for being a kind and loving man, and the 100% most honest man you would ever be lucky to know. We will carry him in our hearts forever. We love you and will miss you beyond words.

"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near."

There will be a Memorial Celebration of Don's Life at the Eagles Hall in Oroville, Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
