Douglas Scott Robertson Obituary
DOUGLAS SCOTT ROBERTSON Douglas Scott Robertson of Chico was called home to heaven on Saturday, May 28, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was 54 years young. This strong and beautiful soul was born on April 9, 1962 in Hawthorne, California, to Doug and the late LeNan Robertson. Douglas moved to Chico with his family in 1969. He graduated from Corning High in 1980 and started his family in 1982. He was a journeyman carpenter, concrete mason, and a handyman for 30 years. He was a proud member of the Sons of Thunder set up crew for his church and Band of Brothers men's bible group. He lived on Little Chico Creek for the last 22 years of his life where he raised his family, worked hard, and played harder! Dougger loved Catalina Island where his family vacations every year and Noyo Harbor in Fort Bragg to beat the heat. He loved road trips, camping, building, writing, cooking, football, baseball, Christmas, nature, animals, tools, fireworks, music, big beards and Dutch Bros coffee. His greatest joy in life was his family and his walk with Christ. He spread the good news any chance he had. Doug is survived by his father, Doug L. Robertson; his children, Branden Robertson, and Jessica and Jessie Ramirez; his grandchildren, Logan Robertson, and Jayden Ramirez; his sisters Jodi Williams and Melanie Smith, many nieces, nephews and his Jenny. A celebration of Doug's life journey will be held on Saturday, June 25, at 1:00 p.m. at Newton Bracewell Funeral Home in Chico.
