EDWARD MILLER Edward died Jan. 22, 2017, peacefully at home with the help of Butte Home Health Hospice and surrounded by his loving family. He was born in 1925 in Riverside, Ca. He was raised there by his Parents in the shadow of his great Uncle Frank's Mission Inn and his influences. Served 2 years with the Navy 1943-1945 as a communication technician in part working on Riverside's made landing craft, out of San Diego. Graduated from Stanford in 1949, received his teaching credential from Redlands. Met his wife in Riverside after graduating and was married 61 years. He taught school in Trona, Ca. for 2 years before moving to Santa Monica, working for RCA, buying one of their first color TVs. He moved to the Bay Area, worked for Lockheed for 30 years as a system Engineer, primarily in developing ground sensing and imaging satellites, moving later to Washington DC, Felton, Ca, and then finally Forest Ranch 20 yrs ago, building his own cabin. In Forest Ranch he worked on the Fire Safe Council and contributed to Butte County's Master Plan. He leaves behind Paul, Betsy, Lois, Peter, Mark and Steven, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. No services to be held until private interment in May at Igo's Veterans Cemetery.
