EDYITH TRUE It is with great sadness that the family of Edyith Faye True announces her passing after a short time in the hospital following a stroke. She passed at the tender age of 87. Born April 13, 1931 in Memphis, Texas to farmers John and Florence Parnell. In 1934, after enduring the dustbowl, Edyith, her brother Dan and their parents made the long trip to California in a 1928 Chevy pulling a cotton trailer. Traveling throughout California, they settled in Van Nuys. Her life there was rich. After graduating Van Nuys High School, she married Philip Charles Familia, she raised four beautiful children. Later she became a grandmother to three granddaughters and then a great grandmother to three great grandsons and two great granddaughters. In 1981 she married her beloved husband Reyburn Luther True and traveled throughout the United States and retired at their beautiful home in Oroville. She will be dearly missed by friends Iand loved ones. She is survived by her daughters Virginia and Anna, her son Philip John and her brother Dan. She was proceeded in death by her son Karl. Funeral service 10am, Thursday August 16, 2018, Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2350 Foothill Blvd., Oroville, CA 96966.
