EVA MAE (FISCH) CLACK Apr. 1923 - May 18, 2014 Eva Mae Clack, 91, of Chico, passed away peacefully among family on Sunday morning, May 18, 2014. A native of Rogers City, Michigan, Eve attended Albion College in Albion, Michigan before marrying Strout Louis ("Bob") Clack of Sacramento, California in 1946. A 30-year resident of Hayward and 17 year resident of Chico, she was an active member of the First Methodist Church of Hayward and the Bidwell Presbyterian Church of Chico. Eve was a tireless volunteer in the Women's Auxiliary of Eden Hospital in Castro Valley, California for 25 years, and later served as a volunteer at Enloe Medical Center in Chico. She was an avid bridge player throughout her life. Eve was known for her enduring wit and an ingenious sense of humor that delighted and entertained all of those around her, and was rarely without a smile or a kind word. Preceded in death by her husband Strout and eldest son Fred, Eve is survived by son Rick and daughter-in-law Wendy Clack of Chico and son Alan Clack of New York City. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 21 at Bidwell Presbyterian Church on the campus of Chico State University at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Eve's memory to the of America (http://www.alz.org) or to Hospice at Enloe Medical Center Foundation in Chico (http://enloe.org/foundation), 249 W.
