The Camp Fire claimed my Uncle Forrest. Yeah, kind of a play on words, but I think that he would approve.
Uncle Forrey had a great sense of humor, or at least a sense of humor that I appreciated. He was my favorite uncle...that said, he was the only one I had regular contact with. He was my father's best friend.
He had his routine and didn't deviate much from that routine. His hobbies were his garden and woodworking... He had mastered those skills.
Uncle Forrey, I will miss you. I love you. Say hi to my dad for me and let him know that all is well.

Forrest was a good man, I sat in the hot tub at the gym and has many great talks with Forrest. It broke my heart to here he lost his life in that darn fire. I will miss our talks, enjoy your walks in nature Forrest you were loved on this planet. Hugs....

I was so sad to see Forrest's name on this list; he was a gentle giant...I was blessed to have a few of his woodworking masterpieces before the fire consumed them. Rest In Peace.

Used to play wallyball (volleyball on a racquetball court) with Forrey. Even at 65, he was a solid player, and a kind man.

Forrey was my friend for years. I remember him giving me a chain saw when I first started my landscaping business in the 80s. I met him working at FRH, and he taught me a lot about landscaping. He always made people feel welcome in his home. He was an avid collector of marbles, they were all over his house. His wife, Shirley, used to be a secretary in the Personnel Dept at FRH, and he really missed her when she died. We used to go to Tacos Acapulco, had a greenish Ford truck then. He would share everything with you, and every time I would leave his house, I would go home with a whole bag of fruit or vegetables. He could be very serious, but then you would realize it was a joke after all. He will be missed by many, many people since he was very helpful to the community and would help everyone out. I will miss him. Sorry for the family's loss, he was a good man. May God comfort the family at this time.

I did not know this gentleman, but I saw this posted on Facebook. I read it. My heart hurts for this precious man's family. I wish I could have known such a kind, interesting, giving man.

I remember going over to their house and playing with the granddaughter. So sorry to hear the news that he passed.
