FREDERICK H. KOPP Frederick H. Kopp died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at 12:02 AM on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 28, 1929 to John and Sybilla Kopp. He was the last of 4 children. In 1951, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. After his discharge, Fred married and had two children. He graduated from Baldwin Wallace College with a BA in business. He moved his family to California in 1963. Fred had a very successful career as a salesman, working for the Nestle Corporation for 22 years. At the time of his retirement, he was producing more than $4 million dollars a year in sales. He was a long time member of the Elks Club and was an Elk of the Year in 1987. Fred divorced in 1973. He met Dorothy Watson in 1986 and they married in 1989. Fred retired from Nestles in 1990 and he and Dorothy moved to Paradise, CA. Fred was very active in the community. He volunteered at Feather River Hospital for 12 years. He served as Vice President of the Auxiliary and was very active in fundraising activities. He was Horseshoe Chairman for the Paradise Elks Club and a member of SIRS. Fred had an infectious positive attitude and was known and loved by many people in the community. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy G. Kopp, his son Darrell Kopp (Cheryl), his daughter Cheryl Pearson (Bill), his grandchildren Savannah Kopp and Dr. Anthony Ruddick (Ann-Chi), his sister Sybil Ding, and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Fred's life will take place on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 3 PM at the Elks Club in Paradise, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to a .
