GERALD ALLEN GRIDLEY Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Gerald (Jerry) Allen Gridley, 77, returned to his Heavenly Home, peacefully, at Enloe Hospital in Chico, on November 10, 2014, surrounded by his family. Jerry was born in Van Nuys, CA on September 9, 1937 to Al and Dorothy Gridley, who taught him the importance of family, hard work, honor and integrity. His family moved to the Antelope Valley, in So. California, where he attended school and graduated from Antelope Valley High School. Following High School, he honor-ably served in the Navy from 1955-1959. After serving in the Navy, he moved to Alaska looking for work. While in Anchorage, he met his wife and they married there, on May 13, 1961. Shortly after marriage, they moved to the Antelope Valley, where their first two children were born. In 1971, Jerry and Jackie moved their family to Paradise where their third child was born and where they have lived for the past 43 years. They joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in January 1972 and were sealed for eternity on May 11, 1973 in the Oakland Temple. Jerry was a man known for his service to his family, church, friends, and community and had a way of making people feel loved and special. If there was ever a need, there was Jerry! We will miss him dearly, while at the same time, we are thankful for the know-ledge that we will be with him again!
