GLORIA JEAN GARCIA CUNNINGHAM Gloria Jean Garcia Cunningham, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and children on November 28, 2016 in Stockton, California. She was born on October 11, 1941 in Orland, California to her parents Hilario and Josefa Garcia. She leaves behind her loving husband of 58 years, Gerald Lee Cunningham, her children Kim (Tim) Clements of Lodi, CA, Jerry (Lezlee) Cunningham of Modesto, CA, Kristina (John) Cardiel of Stockton, CA, her grandchildren Jeremy Cunningham, Jason Cunningham, Jamie Cunningham of Modesto, CA, Mychal Clements of Encino, CA, Taylor Clements of Raleigh, CA, Matthew Cardiel of Central Point, OR, Brianna Cardiel of Seoul South Korea, Tyler Cardiel of Eugene, OR, Gracey Cardiel of Grants Pass, OR and 8 Great -Grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sisters Mary Helen Garcia of Portland, OR, and Grace Martinez of Red Bluff, CA. Gloria was a beloved Wife, Mother, Pastor's wife and para professional for special needs students. She was married to the love of her life for 58 years; her high school boyfriend became her life soul mate and she was his partner in Pastoral Ministry. People were drawn to her bubbly personality and her compassionate ability to pray for people and love them deeply. She loved her children and grandchildren with all of her heart and they were the center of her life. The passion of her life was to help children in the school setting, without a higher education degree she earned her way into the classroom of special needs students. She loved especially to help that one child who needed a little extra attention. Often keeping special treats in her pockets to give to children who needed more attention. Students and teachers favored her fun personality. Gloria enjoyed many deep and fulfilling friendships in her life and loved to be the center of any circle of friends. She loved life. Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 1pm at Neighborhood Church, 5921 Stoddard Road in Modesto.
