I'VE FLOWN AWAY Harley Floyd Chapman, Sr., of Oroville, California, took wings from the Paradise Hospice House and flew away to his real Paradise to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 20, 2013. He lost his battle withlung cancer after six months. Harley Sr. will be greatly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 73 years, Hilda Bartlett Chapman, his son Harley Chapman, Jr. and his wife Eleanor Gordon Chapman,his grandson, John Harley Chapman and Nicole Sexton Chapman and their daughter Harley Jean Chapman. Born, November 22, 1921 in Ozark, Arkansas, Harley had the joy of being a part of the loving family of Edd and Maude Chapman with a family of eleven children all raised in thefarm life of northwest Arkansas. He is the last sibling of this generation being preceded in death by his mother and father and his ten brothers and sisters: Evy, Carl, Rubert, Arah, Hubert, Irene, Clarence, Dennie, Raymond and Eva. He was a member of the Oroville Evangelical Free Church for over 25 years and considered knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as his life's most important reality. His life will be celebrated at a memorial Service on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church, 3785 Olive Highway. A luncheon reception will follow the service in the adjoining fellowship hall.Interment has already been held privately. The family gives a special note of thanks to Paradise Hospice, especial Teanette and Dave.for their lovin care of Harley Sr. during his journey to finally fly home to Paradise.
