1936 - 2013 Obituary Condolences
HAROLD LEE DUNCAN Harold Lee Duncan passed away September 23, 2013 at Enloe Hospital in Chico, California. Harold was born January 18, 1936 to Howard and Ruth Duncan of Churn Creek Bottom, a farming community south of Redding, and grew up on their dairy farm. Harold graduated from Shasta High in 1954 and attended Shasta College for two years. He worked for a furniture store and a soda bottling company before taking a job in 1961 with the Rainbo Baking Company. He was transferred to Willows in 1968 and became locally known as the Rainbo Bread man until he retired in 1994. As a youth, Harold loved the rodeo. He partici-pated in junior rodeo as a bull rider. Later his hobby became sailing and racing his Hobie Cat. Then he moved up to a larger boat that he sailed in the delta and S.F. Bay. He also liked to hike and kayak.. Harold enjoyed being a family man. He was very proud of his children and loved and spoiled his grand-children. He did every-thing from attending sports events and hunting and identifying insects to finding the best "skipping" rocks and playing a mean game of "Go Fish". Harold was predeceased by his brother David (Nickie) and his sister Shirley. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, his brother James (Jim), his daughters Lynne and husband Joe Cardoza, Karen and husband Shane Rubinoff, step-children Cecelia Scalvini, Clifford and wife Sherry Scalvini, Audrie Scalvini, Albert and wife Heidi Scalvini, and Ambrose Scalvini, grandchildren Cori and Katelyn Cardoza, Ryan and Casey Rubinoff, Amelia, Ethan, and Alexandra Scalvini. Funeral services for Harold will be held at the F.D. Sweet Mortuary in Willows on Monday September 30, at 10:30 a.m.
