A Veteran's good-bye will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Glen Oaks Memorial Park for Hugh Frisbee, 88, of Magalia. Hugh went to his Savior on August 24, 2010.

He was born July 12, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois, later moving to California. He was a long time resident of Magalia. Hugh spent 45 years devoted to his work as a machinist. His work credits include assembly line machinery, airplane building, and assisting in the intricate life supporting machinery for the Apollo missions.

His most passionate hobbies were his detailed wood working items. Dad could build a train out of a 4x4 or construct an intricate wood vase out of scrap wood. Friends and family relished presents from him for their hand carved detail.

As a veteran, Hugh spent his Navy years in the Phillipines during WWII.

He is preceded in death by ex-wife, Betty Frisbee; daughter, Helene Frisbee and two sisters, GeorgeAnn and Jean.

Hugh is survived by a son, David Frisbee of Magalia, CA; son, Bob Frisbee of Chico, CA and daughter, Marilyn Hall of Owatanna, MN.
