JEWELL MILTON GORDON Jewell Milton Gordon born January 23, 1919 in Colusa, CA and raised on the Gordon Ranch, four (4) miles south of Princeton, CA, peacefully passed away on December 29, 2013 in Woodland, CA. A descendent of early Central Sacramento Valley families. He was exceptionally kind hearted and was always available to lend a helping hand; Milt was a fifty-five year member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks and Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge, 1786, Willows and served as a member of the Hospital Advisory Board of Glenn General Hospital, Willows and was Past President of the Glenn County Unit, . Graduate of Princeton High School, '37, and proud Navy Veteran of WW II, his final station at Marpee Point, Saipan. Graduate of the California College of Mortuary Science, Los Angeles; serving Franklin-Downs Mortuary, Modesto, CA and FD Sweet and Son Mortuary, Willows. Office Manager at Barber Rowland Fertilizer and Farm Chemical Company, Loshe Mill, and Michaud Aviation. District Supervisor for Professional Apartment Management Co. (PAM) Milt was preceded by his parents, Jewel Vernon Gordon and Beulah Saunders-Gordon, brother William Gordon (Lois) and wife Emily, Brother-in-Law Joe Bach. Survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Powers-Gordon, sisters Peggy Bach and Phyllis Elkins (Dick); children Judy Quattrin (Gary), David Duckart (Vivienne Parker), Doug Duckart (Charlene), 4 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends. Graveside Service on Thursday, January 9, 2014, 11:00 a.m., Burwood Cemetery, 28320 E. River Road, Escalon, CA; Memorial Service, Thursday, January 23, 2014, 11:00 a.m., Elks Lodge, 150 South Shasta St., Willows, CA. 95988.
