1928 - 2012 Obituary Condolences

Jo Ann Carol Huff passed away on Aug. 1, 2012, in Paradise, CA.

She was born in Minneapolis, MN on Dec. 26, 1928 to Edna and Walter Kleinsteuber. She grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1949 with an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts. She moved to California in 1952 and settled in the San Diego area, where she worked for IBM as one of the first key punch operators at North Island Naval Station. It is while working there that she met her husband, Howard Huff. They were married on June 14, 1958.

Jo Ann's family was the focus of her life. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and could often be found in her kitchen whipping up something scrumptious for her family or friends. Her banana cream and lemon meringue pies were legendary. She was an accomplished knitter, seamstress and quilter. She loved to read and her kitties held a special place in her heart.

She was an active member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Paradise 3rd Ward, where she served in a number of capacities. During her lifetime, she served as a Welcome Wagon Lady in the Paradise Area and was a volunteer at the Feather River Hospice Thrift store in Paradise.

She is survived by her three children: Catherine Baker, Robert Huff, and Susan Remund; and her seven grandchildren, Alexander Clayton, Jeffrey Clayton, Kourtney Remund, Kyle Remund, Drew Remund, Jarron Remund and Kayli Remund.

Funeral Services will be held at the LDS Bille Road Chapel, 1275 Bille Road, Paradise CA on Aug. 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. She will be interred with her husband at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA.
