John "Bud" Killingswotth Obituary
JOHN "BUD" KILLINGSWORTH John Killingsworth passed away peacefully on January 27, 2015 at Oroville Post Acute Center in Oroville, CA. Bud was a resident of Durham for 50 years. John was born in Nelson, California on September 19, 1927 to John Adam and Clara Belle Killingsworth. He was raised in Nelson with his four siblings. John attended Nelson Elementary School, Biggs High School and Chico High School. He proudly served his country when he joined the army in 1945. In 1948 he began his 38 year career for PG&E as a heavy equipment operator. In 1952 he married the love of his life, Yvonne Killingsworth, and they were married for 57 years and raised their two children, Greg and Debra. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and following his children and grandchildren participate in all of their athletic and school activities. John is survived by his children, Greg Killingsworth (Lynn) of Lake Almanor, CA, daughter, Debra Patrich (Gregg) of Lake Havasu, AZ, six grandchildren, Katrina Zunino (Chase) of San Ramon, CA, Shay McDonald (Ryan) of Beaverton, OR, Todd Killingsworth of Jupiter, Florida, Brian Killingsworth (Mandy) of South Lake Tahoe, CA, Kristine Perry of Chico, CA. and Amber Patrich of Dublin, CA. John is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Rocco, Siena, Secily, Liam, Ella, Rowen and Gemma. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Belle, his wife, Yvonne, his brother, Tom and his three sisters, Gertrude, Julia and Alberta. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 3. 2015 at Brusie Funeral Home between 5pm-8pm. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 11:00 am at Brusie Funeral Home in Chico. A graveside service will immediately follow at Glen Oaks Memorial Park followed by a reception at Round Table Pizza Parlor on Pillsbury Ave. in Chico from 1:00 to 3:00.
