Judi Wineroth Obituary
JUDI WINEROTH Judi Wineroth, age 65, of Chico, CA, passed away suddenly in a car accident on Highway 99, Sunday, March 12, 2017, while heading to the airport to serve alongside her family for a week in Mexico with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Judi was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and missionary. She was born Judith Ann Taylor, the second child of four, to Gordon and Melma Taylor, May 7, 1951. Judi grew up in San Jose, CA, and graduated from Camden High School. She then, married her sweetheart, Barry Wineroth on June 22, 1969 and had three children April, Sarah, and Matthew, who went on to bless them with ten grandchildren. The Wineroths moved to the Chico area in 1983. Judi's life was dedicated to loving and serving God and others. This was evident through her work with her church, her provision of her home for foster children, her work on the mission field with YWAM for twenty-eight years, and in her daily, personal relationships. With Christ as her life's foundation, Judi had the incredible capacity to love and empathize with everyone she met. She was a wonderful blend of sweetness, sunshine, and silliness, and will always be remembered by her eyes and smile which reflected the beauty of her heart. Judi will forever be missed, but since she loved so strong and well, she was dearly loved in return. Her legacy of love will live on in all those whose lives she touched this side of heaven. She is preceded in death by her father Gordon Taylor and brother Ronald Taylor. She is survived by her husband Barry of 48 years, three children April (Shane) Ely of Paradise, Sarah (Dustin) Vargas of Chico, and Matt (Dafne) Wineroth of Lake Forest, her mother Melma Taylor of Chico, her brothers Erick and David Taylor, and her ten precious grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as Juju. Judi's Celebration of Life will be this Sunday, April 2nd, at Neighborhood Church in Chico. Viewing is 2:00-2:45 p.m. in the chapel and the service will begin at 3 p.m. in the main sanctuary in the dome. There will be a potluck following. Please bring a dish to share.
