The family moved to Oroville in 1964. Gayleyne enjoyed crafting, crocheting and fishing. Always a collector, she loved antiques. Tom and Gayleyne were members of the Good Jam Club, The Family Motor Coach Association and the Native Sons and Daughters of the Golden West. Tom preceded Gayleyne in death in 2001.

Gayleyne is survived by her son, Thomas Kruse Jr. and his wife, Johanna of Oroville; her daughter, Judy Kruse and her husband, Felix Aleman of Redding; her brother, Vernon Cole of Modesto; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oroville.
