LENNY L.L. VAVALETTE Feb. 22, 1921 - Dec. 25, 2011

Lenny Lillith Vavalette passed away on Dec. 25, 2011, in Chico, Calif.

Lenny Vavalette, (AKA Donald Armstrong), is survived by his sister, Phyllis Taylor, Reno, Nev., and his children, Paul Donald Armstrong Vavalette, Wis., Dale R. Armstrong Minn., Andy Blumberg Wash., Leila Lim Vavalette Calif., Yehano Bruso Calif., and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The Great Grandmaster Lenny Vavalette, ("Sifu Lenny") is the highest ranked Tai Chi Chuan Master in Northern Calif.

Sifu Lenny's background includes being a U.S. Air Force Pilot, Air Force Acrobatic Instructor, owner of Lake Tahoe Helicopter Services in the 1960's (the 1st Air Medivac Unit in Tahoe), and an avid jade miner.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sat., Jan. 21st, at Azad's Martial Arts Family Center, 313 Walnut Street, Chico 12:00 p.m. All are welcome. His family hopes you would share your thoughts and memories of Lenny online, at PDAPilot @yahoo.com, or Master @AzadsMartialArts.com.

Donations in honor of Lenny's memory can be made to Rising Star Program, a youth-at-risk character education program (non-profit), which raises funds for troubled children, through Curtis Lemier (530-893-6724).
