LILY EMMA (HINZ) ALBERICO Lily Emma Hinz Alberico, 95, passed away after a short illness on February 13, 2016 in Chico, CA. and went to be with the lord. She was her family's beloved mother, grandmother, sister-in-law and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73years, Albert and her son Jay. Lily was born on August 24, 1920 in Artois, CA. and her parents were Fred and Alma (Mordhorst) Hinz who in 1890 purchased property in Artoi s, Ca. where they farmed. Lily attended Cheroke grammar and Orland High school and married her true love, Albert "Beans" Alberico on July 7,1940 in Reno, Nevada, riding up from Orland in the open back of a Model A. They were blessed with four children, Daryl, Russell (wife Judy), Jay who passed away in 9/20/2014 (wlfe Nancy) and Karla (husband Ray) Dreiss. Their grandchildren who loved going to Grandma and Grandpa's Artois ranch are: Nicole and (Paul) Demming, Natasha Alberico, Nashara and (Scott) Wisenbaker, Reni and(David) DeHaan, Seth Alberico, Matt and John Connolly, Loren and -(Holly) Dreiss and Lance and (Tammie) Dreiss. Lily and Beans loved to travel, spend summers at Westport picking abalone, surf fishing, playing cards and Lily loved spending time with her family, crafting, playing money bingo, making beautiful Christmas ornaments and having breakfast with her friends. On May 2010 Lily and Beans moved into Prestige Assisted Living in Chico until their deaths. Lily made many dear friends who loved and will miss her greatly. The Alberico family thanks Prestige Assisted Living and Enloe Hospital for their care and kindness given to Lily and her loved ones. We can never express how wonderful you all were and helped us through this sad time. Services will be held at the Graves Cemetery on NewviIle, Road, Orland, on Friday, February 19th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Artois Volunteer Fire Department. Sleep peacefully Mom, give Dad and Jay a hug and know our hearts will always be with you.
