LINDA ISABEL (MAY) MOREY Linda Isabel (May) Morey passed away September 12, 2016, at the age of 77. Born in Los Angeles in 1938, she was a long-time Chico' resident. Linda is survived by her beloved husband Milton (Mel) Austin Morey, sister Mary Vallejo, children Lisa Doerr, Bryan Morey (Alison), Julie Edgar (Steve), and adoptive family member Chuck Kramer. She also leaves behind grandchildren Nathan Edgar, Bailey Edgar and Jack Doerr, as well as great-grandson Jesse and many cousins, nieces and. nephews. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Charles H. May Jr., Isabel May and twin brother Charles H. May Ill. Linda graduated from Manteca High School in 1956 and attended Modesto Junior College. After raising her children she returned to school at Butte College to pursue a career in Respiratory Therapy and worked at Enloe Hospital. An accomplished seamstress and a talented cook, Linda was a gracious hostess. She loved to cook for her family and friends and her home was always warm and inviting, the scene of many holidays and celebrations Mel and Linda's nearly 60-year marriage was truly a life-long love affair, full of affection and laughter. They cared for each other with uncommon devotion. Linda was a kind, gracious woman with a warm and gentle manner. The heart of her family, she was cherished by all who knew her. Always happiest when together, Mel and Linda traveled extensively after retirement, exploring the U.S., Europe and Japan.
