Linda Sigel Vrhel Obituary
LINDA SIGEL VRHEL Linda Sigel Vrhel of Pacific Grove, CA went to heaven on March 8, 2014. She was born in Chico, CA to dedicated teachers, Henry and Elvira Sigel. She is survived by her sisters, Sandra Radonich (Randy) and Susan Blizman (Frank), nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and close friends. Linda graduated from Chico State University and received a B.A. In Psychology. She worked at Stanford University for several years in the capacity of administra-tive assistant, and most recently had been working at the Del Monte Shopping Center in Monterey. Linda's Christian faith sustained her through all of life's ups and downs, and gave her life meaning and purpose. God's grace, love, and forgiveness encouraged her, and allowed her to change and grow as a person. Linda was inspired by Thoreau's quote, "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined." Linda fulfilled her life's dream by becoming a writer, and was in the process of self-publishing her first novel, called Salt Creek. Linda fulfilled another dream, that of living by the ocean. She spent her final years living in Monterey County, where she enjoyed walking along its beautiful blue, sapphire colored beaches. Accompanying her was Winnie, her devoted Boston Terrier, who daily taught her the meaning of God's unconditional love. The beauty of the Ocean always reminded Linda of God's miraculous creation. Loving family and friends survive Linda. At her request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the SPCA for Monterey County.
