Lindsey Stansell In Memoriam
LINDSEY STANSELL With heavy hearts we tell you of the death of our patriarch. Lindsey Stansell. On Saturday morning, February 11, 2017, Lindsey left this earth to go to his Heavenly Father and join the many loved ones who have gone before him. Lindsey was born on January 23, 1946, in Santa Paula, California, to Lindsey Wright Stansell and Bessie Jane Stansell, who have predeceased him. Lindsey leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Jane Stansell, his daughters Anne Stansell and Stephanie Poklervaart and her husband, Eric Poldervaart, Lindsey's grandsons, Alan Poldervaart, and Christian McDermott, also survive him and both were so dear to his heart. Lindsey is survived by his brother, Neal Carrell and many cousins who were close to him during his childhood. Lindsey would want to recognize our dear family friend Nikki Schuyler and her children, Jordan and Brandon. Lindsey was loved by many for his kindness, humor, and willingness to share his ability to -fix anything." He and the family moved from Ventura to Chico in 1972 where he began Action Heating and Air Conditioning. After he sold that business, he worked for Hignell & Hignell as the Maintenance Department Supervisor. Twenty years later he retired, but continued to work as an electrical contractor for several years. Lindsey was a hard worker, but he also played hard. He enjoyed being with his friends for golf, fishing, or just to play games. Lindsey will be missed by many. but his encouragement, his love for others and his wisdom in looking for the best in us all will be a gift that continues to be present in all of our lives. A memorial service and reception will be held at the First Baptist Church, 154 North Lassen Street, Willows, California at 2:00 P.M. on February 18, 2017.
