Lucille Weaver Obituary
LUCILLE WEAVER Famous for her smile and chef creations, Lucille Weaver, 87, will be missed by many. She was born as Virginia Lucille Letsinger, the oldest of three children, in March of 1928 in Porterville, CA, to parents Myrtle and Edgar Letsinger. They moved to Mansfield, MO, where she completed high school and moved back to California as a nanny and bookkeeper. She met Stan Weaver, a handsome Navy officer and nephew of her employer, when he was home on leave; it was love at first sight and they were engaged three days later. She began her career of leisure and household activities, from state-level bowling achievements, golf tourn-aments, to an official American Contract Bridge Life Master. She and Stan were married 62 years. A well-renowned cook, her reputation in the community was exten-sive and it seemed everyone wanted her recipes, especially bridge and church buddies. Lucille passed away in her home on July 10, with her daughters and a close friend present, after suffering a recent stroke. Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 10 Honeyrun Road, on Saturday, July 25, at 2:00 pm. She is survived by three children Fred, Becky, and Angela, three grand-children Gail, Chris, and Brandon, and four great grandchildren Eric, Callee, Josie, and Lily. The family would like to thank the staff at Enloe Hospice for a very special and comfortable end of life. Please share thoughts and memories of Lucille online at nbcfh.com.
