1961 - 2010 Obituary Condolences

Marsha Leah Daily Boyes passed away on July 4, 2010, in Moss Beach, CA, after struggling nearly two years with brain cancer. She was 49. Marsha was born June 15, 1961 in Red Bluff and moved to Milpitas, Orland, and finally to Corning in 1963. She graduated from Corning Union High School in 1979 and attended Butte College, where she played field hockey and enjoyed biology classes. In the early 80's, she moved to Williams, where she married Reese Boyes. She later moved to Half Moon Bay.

Athletic, strong, beautiful, creative and inquisitive, Marsha was an inspiration to many, especially to the children of Jean Weingarten Peninsula Oral School for the Deaf in Redwood City, where she was a staff member for 18 years. Marsha was described by co-workers as an extraordinary person with incredible passion. Her dedication and imagination helped transform students' dreams into reality,

She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Daily in 1980; her brother, Jim Daily in 1987; her grandparents, Bonnie and James R. Sullivan; and Velma and Frank Schwartz. Marsha is survived by her children, Brooke Boyes of Chico and Ross Boyes of Colusa; sisters, Sherry Avila of Corning and Krissy Bagdons of Grangeville, ID; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Canyon Oaks Country Club, 999 Yosemite Drive in Chico. A second service will be held Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010 at the Unity Church, 3391 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., with a reception following.
