The Committal will follow the Mass at the Glen Oaks Memorial Park at 11115 Midway, Chico, CA. Mary Ann was born on November 27th, 1935 to Peter Joseph and Grace Irene Taormino. She lived on several ranches in Hollister and San Jose, CA with her parents and her younger sister Nancy Vinciguerra. She loved growing up around many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends and spent as much time with family as possible. She enjoyed visiting family in Monterey and Marysville and spending time at the beach in Santa Cruz. She loved cheering on the 49ers and Giants and spent a great deal of her spare time attending her children's, grandchil-dren's and great-grandchildren's sporting events. She relished the chance to pick berries along the Oregon coast and loved the Hawaiian Islands and tropical flowers. She took great joy in cooking large Italian meals for anyone who entered her home. She attended Norte Dame High School in San Jose, CA and completed several years of community college. In her professional life, she was a high-end retail store manager and worked as an executive assistant at the Hussmann Corporation in San Jose. She has been a member of the Son's of Italy lodge for over 55 years and most recently served as an emeritus Historian in the Vincenzo Bellini Lodge 2519 in Chico, California. Her most joyous and important role was that of wife and mother. She was devoted to her family and loved nothing more than taking care of and being with them. She is survived by her husband Elmer J Silvera, her Sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Leo Vinciguerra, her son and daughter-in-law Salvatore and Carol Passantino, her son Peter Passantino, her son and daughter-in-law Charles and Wendy Passantino, her step-daughters and sons-in-laws Sue and Roger Hartsell and Sherry and Jerry Lampkin.
