MILON G. LOGAN

Milon G. Logan passed away on Veterans Day, November 11, 2010, from a chronic lung condition. He was born on February 24, 1919 in Providence, RI a few months after his father died during the Flu Epidemic. He is survived by his wife, Janet of Paradise, and three step-children.

In his late teens, before this country entered WWII, Milon joined the Army and was assigned first to the Panama Canal, then several other locations, ending with the Battle of the Bulge.

After 30 years with Lockheed-Martin in Sunnyvale, CA, Milon retired as a Design Engineer; he helped design the Polaris Missile. Following his retirement, he and Janet moved from Los Altos to Paradise.

Milon was a Founding Member and the first President of Prime Timers, a Learning In Retirement Organization at Chico State (now known as the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute). He also wrote newsletters and helped Janet arrange tours for several years with the Primetimers.

Milon was a member of the Paradise Seventh Day Adventist Church. A Memorial Service will be held for him at the Fellowship Center, 5720 Academy Drive. Paradise on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. A light lunch will follow.
