1927 - 2012 Obituary Condolences

Paul Harrold Henson completed his work here on July 26, 2012. He was born in Gurdon, Arkansas on December 8, 1927.

Paul served proudly in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. After the war, he settled in Southern California, where he met and married the love of his life, Barbara Tait. In 1959, they moved their family to Paradise, California. Paul spent most of his adult life as a sheetmetal worker. He was skilled in many construction crafts, and he designed and built three homes and a houseboat. In addition to his family and his work, Paul loved waterskiing and baseball. Paul retired from sheetmetal and spent the last years of his working life as Senior Maintenance Worker at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds in Chico. After the boys were grown, he and Barbara moved to Forest Ranch and then to Chico.

Paul is survived by his wife, Barbara and sons, Steve and Tracy; his sister, Carolyn; grandchildren, Holly, Heidi, David, and Craig, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. on August 16, 2012 at Glen Oaks Memorial Park, preceded by visitation from 5-8 p.m. August 15, 2012 at Brusie Funeral Home.
