Dr. Paul R. Stilley D.D.S. Obituary
DR. PAUL R. STILLEY D.D.S. Born February 23, 1923 to Walter & Lelah Stilley in Howell Township, Johnson County Arkansas. As a young man Paul moved to California working various jobs. WWII found him on a troop ship headed for the European Theater of operations with the 526th Armored Infantry Battalion and the Battle of the Bulge where he earned a bronze star. He attended the University of Northern Arizona and North Western University Dental School in Chicago. With the advent of the Korean War he enlisted in the US Army to serve in the Medical Corps as a Lieutenant . In 1953 he moved to Chico with wife Ruby and two children, Suzanne and Charlie. He spent the next 40 years working to ease the pain and suffering of those with dental problems. He told me a number of years ago there was never a day he didn't look forward to going to the office. He loved the work and those he was able to help. Paul married Marie Wright in 1979 and settled in Butte Creek Canyon. They lived a good life on Butte Creek. Paul was preceded in death by his wife Marie and daughter Suzanne. Survived by daughter Lynette and son Charlie, granddaughters Laura and Carey, grandson Brett, great granddaugh-ters Taylor, Mackenzie and Isla. Graveside services will be Monday Sept. 26 at Glen Oaks Memorial Park, corner of the Midway and Hagen Ln. at 11:00 A.M. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.brusiefh.com
