RICHARD LARSON

Richard Larson, aka Richard Carlotti, was born in Helena, Montana Dec. 2 1926. He was raised in Alaska, served in The Marines and graduated from Eastern Montana College with a B.S. He earned a Masters from Chico State. A writer of poems, stories and music, he played many instruments.

He received a liver transplant in 1995, giving him 16 more years to enjoy his passions of art, science, history and football.

He is survived by Susan Rahl of Washington, Rochelle Gardiner and Carmelle Anaya, both of Chico; grandchildren, Christopher Rahl, Danny Gardiner, Tamara Rahl, Gwen Gardiner, Ashley Anaya, and Gabriel Anaya; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Hall, 554 Rio Lindo Ave, Chico.
