Obituary Condolences


Robert Carter James passed away suddenly on November 22, 2011 due to complications of chronic renal failure. He was 51 years old.

A graduate of Chico High School. Rob then went onto Shasta College before attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Rob remained as active as possible and always kept a positive attitude. He was an avid gardener and had enjoyed bicycle riding, snow skiing, water skiing, hiking and fishing. He had restored a few motorcycles and was in the process of restoring a classic car. He had been a volunteer at Enloe Hospital for several years.

He leaves behind many family and friends, parents, Bob and Gail James of Chico; sister, Teryl Harris and her husband, Floyd of Magalia; nephews, Kris and Eric Cervantes of Magalia, and Aron Harris of Okinawa, Japan; aunts and uncles, Carter and Marty Cram of Redding, Mark and Michelle Cram of Redding, as well as several cousins and numerous great-nieces, nephews and his constant companion and endless source of entertainment, his cat, Speedy.

The Family would like to thank the staff of DaVita Dialysis Center for their dedication and service. We would also like to thank the paramedics, doctors and nurses of Enloe Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.

Respecting Rob's wishes, no services are planned.
