1934 - 2012 Obituary Condolences

Rosa Lee Delano Cobbler, a long time Oroville resident, passed away March 21, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with Lung Cancer. She leaves this world to join the love of her life, her beloved husband and soul mate, Raymond Wesley Cobbler.

She was born January 30, 1934 to Mario and Beatrice Zaccanti in Chicago, Illinois. Rosa Lee was one of six children. She came to Oroville at the age of seven and attended Oroville Elementary Schools and graduated from Oroville High School. Rosa Lee married Raymond on May 5, 1952.

Rosa Lee started her career as a telephone operator in Oroville and then worked for the Thermalito School District as a teacher's aid. She ended her career at Bidwell Title in 2006 after a total of 36 years.

Rosa Lee lived for her family and cherished every moment she had with them. She leaves behind three children, Larry (Linda) Cobbler, Danny (Kim) Cobbler, Valerie (Roy) Parsons; eight adored grandchildren, Deacon, Devin, Kevin, Donald, Michelle, Keith, Scott and Mark; two sisters, Denise and Linda; a brother, Daniel, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to her caregiver Janet, Oroville Hospital and Country Crest. They all did a wonderful job at helping to make her last days here more comfortable. There truly are Angels on earth.

A Visitation will be held at Scheer Memorial Chapel on Monday, March 26, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. A service is planned on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. also at Scheer Memorial Chapel in Oroville, California.

Memorial donations may be made to Enloe Medical Center, Country Crest or The Humane Society.
