Susanna Imfeld Vlach, 80, passed away May 11, 2010 in Chico.

Susanna was born to Walter and Martha Imfeld in Holtville, CA. Her family moved to Danville, where she attended school. During her sophmore year, her family moved to Pacheco, CA and she graduated from Mt. Diablo High School in Concord, CA.

She married Raymond Vlach in 1948. They settled in a home built by Raymond in Pacheco. They had three sons and a daughter. In 1961, they moved to Walnut Creek where they raised their family.

Susie was a devoted wife and mother. She was active in the PTA, a cub scout leader, and a 4-H leader. She and Raymond were members of the Farm Bureau for over 30 years in both Contra Costa and Glenn counties. Susie and Raymond moved to Orland in 1989. She lived at Prestige Assisted Living since May 2008.

Susanna is survived by her sons, Raymond Joseph Jr. and daughter-in-law, Terry; Stephen and daughter-in-law, Gail, John; and by her daughter, Suzanne Gall. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Joe (Elizabeth), Rob (Lisa), Erika, Michael, Monika, Matthew, Jacquelynn, Jordan and Melissa; great-grandchildren, Kiana, Ethan, Luke, Zoe and Tyler. She is survived by her two sisters, Elsie Imfeld and Martha Jaggers; and sisters-in-law, Kathryn Imfeld, Leona Sonksen (Wilbur), Huberta Peacock and Edith Hills (Harry). She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her grandson, Timothy, and her two brothers, John and Walter Imfeld.

Visitation is scheduled on Sunday, May 16, 2010 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Orland Chapel, F.D. Sweet & Son Mortuary, 825 A St. A Rosary will be said for her at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 17, 2010 at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Orland.
