TIMOTHY FRANCIS MILLER Obituary
TIMOTHY FRANCIS MILLER Aug. 1, 1960 - Oct. 23, 2010

Timothy Francis Miller, 50, of Chico, California, passed away on Oct. 23, 2010 at Chico Creek Care and Rehabilitation, after a long illness.

Born at Enloe Hospital on Aug. 1, 1960 to Theodore and Patricia Miller, Tim was a life-long native on Chico. He attended Chico schools and was part of the Class of 1978 at Pleasant Valley High School. He worked for Sierra Pacific for 15 years. Tim had a love of racecars and was part owner of a racecar that ran at the Silver Dollar racetrack. He later started a street sweeper business. Tim loved to fish; this was a passion that he shared with his father for many years. They both loved to fly fish, Chico Creek, Mill Creek and Butte Creek were among some of their favorite fishing locations. As sometimes happens to people in life, Tim entered a dark period about 15 years ago and lost contact with family and friends and was never quite able to pull himself out of it. Luckily, Tim's family did catch up with him some months ago and they were able to spend time with him during these last months of his life. But despite the troubles that overtook him and the regrets of past mistakes, Tim had a good heart and cared deeply for his family.

He is survived by two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Cindy and Bruce Eggleston of Yuba City and Teresa and Mike Early of Oregon; two sons, Brad and Brian Ruley; stepdaughter, Karen Ruley and her son, Dakota Ruley, all of Chico, CA; four nephews, Steven Early-Wylde of Oregon, Troy Spainhower, Derek Spainhower and Ryan Hunter, all of Chico; two great-nephews, Matthew Spainhower of Chico and Laken Early-Wylde of Oregon and niece, Lilly Early-Wylde. Tim was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral arrangements will be private and are under the direction of Affordable Mortuary.
