He actively served and attended Midway and Bethel Church of Christ his entire lifetime. He was a 50+ year member of Farm Bureau where he served on its Board of Directors for over 40 years. He also served on several other Ag advisory boards over the years.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margie Allen Mikell; sons, Craig (Judy) Mikell of High Springs and Jeffrey (Dawn) Mikell of Bell; four grandchildren, Tyler Mikell, Cory (Carly) Mikell, Gabby Mikell and Kyle Mikell; brother, Thomas Mikell of Gainesville; sisters, Annetta Beazlie and Blanch Sanders of Gainesville and Eva Mae Swanson of Arizona and a multitude of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edsel Mikell, Douglas Mikell and William H. (Bill) Mikell and sisters, Wanda Durrance, Freda Roper.
