Roger T. Sanford, 79, of Old Town, died at his home Saturday, March 18, 2018.
He was born May 30, 1938 in Minnesota.
For 22 years, he was the owner of the Cadillac Motel in Fanning Springs. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge, AMVETS, Eagles and a Marine Corps veteran. He loved to travel and he especially loved the beach. He was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Becky; children, Lisa Petree of Trenton, Terry Sanford of Orlando, Shelly Corbin of Old Town, Lynn Bierd of Sanford, David Mortenson of Indiana, Jackie Gamble of Trenton, Jason Gamble of Citrus Springs and Jeremy Gamble of Tavares; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Diana Grafsky and brother, Steve Olson, both of Minnesota and sister, Kathy Anderson of Oregon.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 26 at "the river house" in Old Town for family and friends.
