Valerie "Val" (Thias) Henderson
Pueblo - Valerie "Val" (Thias) Henderson, 82, passed away on Jan. 5, 2021, due to complications of Alzheimers disease. She was an amazing, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and business woman, and was dedicated to Pueblo-based social and business communities. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Virginia Thias; and sister, Diane Simpson. She is survived by her husband, Dan Henderson (Pueblo); brother, Ted Thias (Irvine, Calif); sister, Constance Chittenden (Cupertino, Calif.); two sons, Bruce (Janet) Campbell (Mountain View, Calif.) and Scott Campbell (Colorado Springs); and three grandchildren, Jillian Campbell (California) and Alex Campbell and Kevin Campbell (Colorado Springs). Memorial service, 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. This service will also be streamed live at www.montgomerysteward.com/obits, and recorded for future access. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, tax-deductible donations in Valerie's name may be sent to the Colorado Alzheimers Research Association at https://www.alz.org/co/donate

Dan, so sorry to hear of Val's passing. I always remember how cheerful she was & supportive of you. May you be comforted by the long good years that she had.

Deeply saddened by the passing of ESIs' matriarch. Memories of Val will last a lifetime, and her contributions to Pueblo will be greatly missed.

Dan I was so glad to have had the opportunity to meet and do Val’s hair these last few years. She was a beautiful person and we always admired what great care you took of her! We will surely miss her tapping away to the oldies......

Val and Dan were not only my employers, but they are my family. Always there for me and willing to give a helping hand. Anyone that knows them, would say that they always went above and beyond for their community, family and friends. Val was my mentor, I love her, and I miss her. Kim Garmong
